OUR MARES

Our band of mares was carefully chosen to reflect
the traditional Beauty, Intelligence, Spirited Tractability, Stamina,
and Versatility of this unique and wonderful American Breed of Horse. Once you’ve met a Morgan their impact stays with you for life.
It did for us those many years ago and now, thanks to God,
we’re Sharing the Joy!

BLYTHEWOOD VERMONT JOY
Blythewood Vermont Legend x Moriah Mercedes Beam
Foaled April 11, 2004

Joy, so aptly named by Kathy Newcomb of Blythewood Farm,
Stockton, NJ, is an absolute joy to all who know her.
We fell in love with her when first we saw her
at the tender age of 13 months.
A casual drive in the country that day proved
to be the beginning of the fulfillment of a lifelong dream
we both shared even before we met & married.
Shown in hand as a yearling, Joy won the coveted
2005 New Jersey Morgan Horse Association Yearling Filly Champion. The following year she competed against Colts, Geldings,
& Fillies  2 years & under, and Fillies 2 years & under,
winning the Reserve Championship in both events.
Joy has gotten rave reviews from all her trainers
on her intelligence, willing work ethic, disposition, & heart.
Her perfect conformation results in an elegant, floating gait.
Driving or riding her is like poetry in motion.
A judge, (who is also a seasoned trainer),
after watching her move, has advised us
to school her in jumping next year.
Joy has been trained and competed in jumping events, finishing in ribbons

WACHUSET STARLIGHT
Ryegate Syndicate x Wachuset Mt Bell
Foaled June 17, 1998

This beautiful bay Lippitt mare, sired by the renown
Ryegate Syndicate, is exceptional in conformation and intelligence.
Star rides English or Western (has even experienced
cutting cattle), and loves to have a job to do.
Around children or foals this powerful, spirited example
of the original type of Morgan becomes a doting nanny.
Like her dam, Mt. Bell (who went to China in 2007
for the Special Olympics), Star is especially caring and
calm with handicapped children. With all others she is
the undisputed, unchallenged "Queen of the Stable"!
Star has become an annual celebrity at Fort Chiswell's

Future Farmers of America Pioneer Days
Teaching children about Morgans!

LEVI BLACK JASMINE
Levi Lambert x Cole's Fancy Lady
Foaled April 19, 1992

Jazz is a statuesque 15 h. beauty that looks equally elegant
riding or driving. Her "soft as butter" trot, extended trot
and canter exhibit such grace and action as to suggest
future training in dressage. She is highly intelligent and
conscientiously wants to please her handler.
She was specifically chosen to match with the Raynyday line,
with plans to breed in the the future.
Like most of our mares, Jazz keeps a neat stall and
is a very easy keeper where groceries are concerned!
Her sweet disposition (she's our "Miss Congeniality")
makes her compatible with any other stablemate
while still maintaining the air of an alpha mare.

Colic took Jazz from us, and we miss her so much.

SIRIDIAN STAR OF SHANNON
Serena Jubilo x Arduns May Star
Foaled June 11, 1992

Shannon is a smart and athletic intermediate level horse;
rides English or Western, is able to pivot at high speed,
execute flying lead changes, or slide to a stop if asked.
She has an amazing extended trot and a beautiful smooth canter.
She loves traveling and trail rides, or a romp through
the surf at the seashore. Coming at a canter when called
from the paddock, this sweetheart is a real people-lover.
Shanny has returned to us and will remain here for the rest of her life.
She is doing great.

THK WILLY ANNA COMMANDO
Treble's Willy Wild x Keyana Lee Commando
Foaled March 7, 2000

Anna Marie is a wonderful example of true Morgan type.
With Willy Wild and Tug Hill Commando in her pedigree,
outstanding babies are her legacy and she "delivers".
She has produced two exceptional foals for Kipikasa Morgans,
and just foaled a huge bay colt by World Champion
dressage stallion,
RAYNYDAY GRAND FINALE
 .
"EPIPHANY BY GRAND DECREE"
is the best of his sire and dam,
and can be seen on the 2008 Foals Page.

MYRRHWOOD MONTEBELLO
Myrrhwood Montgomery x Myrrhwood Mary Mint)

"Belle" is the quintessential Dressage Morgan.
She has shown successfully through 2nd level with scores
in the mid 60's. She is also in foal to
 RAYNYDAY GRAND FINALE,
due to foal very soon. We are so excited to see her baby!
News Flash - on Good Friday Belle foaled a colt, already named "EPIPHANY GRAND ATONEMENT". Mother and son are doing well.
Photos posted soon on the Foals Page!
Belle is now in training for third level dressage and should compete this spring.
